Red 1989 Mazda 323 GTX with 115829 miles for sale. I am the 3rd owner of this completely stock GTX. The body in excellent condition with no rust, flaking paint, or dents and only a key mark running partially down the passenger side. The engine runs strong with no issues and the trans shifts clean and free. The oil has been changed every 5K miles with synthetic and manufacturer recommended service intervals have been followed. The car has had a great deal of maintenance in the two years I've owned it.
December 2006 - new front brake lines, front CV boots, Corksport shifter bushings, rear tires June 2007 - new head gasket and water pump February 2008 - new front Monroe Sensa-trac struts, front tie rod ends, front control arms, front tires October 2008 - new right front axle, front/rear rotors and pads, front wheel bearings Passed VA emissions and safety inspection in January 2008 Has an HKS turbo timer harness already installed. I have the original window sticker and owners manual and an array of new and spare parts - workshop manual, new oilpan gasket, master cylinder repair kit, new PCV valve, 2 new inner CV boots, new fuel filter, distributor rebuild kit, new tensioner pulley, stock radio That's the good. Now for the bad. The fuel level sensor on one side of the gas tank does not work so fuel gauge will drop to empty when below 1/2 a tank. The key cylinder is starting to act up so from time to time it takes a few turns of the key to trigger the starter to turn over the car. These are common issues with this generation 323. Finally, the shifter components that connect the shifter to the shifter cables are broken so the car cannot be shifted into gear unless you shift it manually at the transmission. Obviously the car is not currently drivable unless you plan to drive only in one gear the entire time. It's a cheap fix but I have neither the time nor desire at this point as I have other projects taking precedence. Asking $1500 obo Car currently located in Southern MD Click for more pics
