I am wonderind if anyone has investigated the swapping of a 3.5l 6g74 v6 from a diamante into a 3.0 6g72 hole in a dodge status/chrysler sebring coupe? This could be a similar swap for a 1 g stratus body 2.5. i have recently aquired a 2002 stratus coupe without an engine. the 3.5 torque is very inviting over a 3.0. i want to know how different or similar are the 2 engines? I have heard of this being done in the older stealth/3000gt bodies with little modifaction. thanks to all for a little insite.

Enjoy reading up son!

I think there is like 15-20 pages?

It's been done, you just need to swap some of the parts on the 3.0 to the 3.5 and you're golden.

How much Hp could be squeezed out of a 6g74 block NA without hurting drivablity? I've read you can stroke it out to a 4.1.

Also, with a awd set up from a spyder fit with the bigger block?

I'm not doing this anytime soon, but I can dream. . . . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Goal: 350 hp, awd stratus. . . . well, ok, over 300 hp and I'll be happy

Sorry but what are you talking about?? lol awd spyder?? as in eclipse spyder?? there's no way. Only way to make the stratus an awd would be evo transfercase, gsx rear transformation, custom shaft, etc. So it's a no no for our v6's I think

And I wouldn't stroke it, I would put nitrous on it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I have read that the 74 can take a decent size nitrous shot, I'm talking 150 shot! (direct port ofcourse)

Yea, I was talking about an eclipse spyder. I was under the assumption that since the eclipse and the stratus were the same platform, I would be able to swap out transmissions also. I guess I was wrong. . . .
