(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) We need a good bit more info to help you out.

Is the smell coming from the engine?
Can you smell it inside the car, more so when the heater or fan is on?
Does it smell like rubber or plastic or oil or antifreeze?
When was the last time you had the oil changed?
Did it look 'milky'? (white mixed in)
Is there white smoke coming from the exhaust?

Smell is from engine
can not smell inside of car
appears to be an oil smell, not 100% though
oil was changed yesterday, however, not by me
does not appear to have white smoke from exhaust

so you never noticed it before the oil change???

probly just some spilled oil burning off. if it continues for more than a few good days of driving, then you might have something

Well if your 100% sure it did not smell like oil burning before you went and got an oil change, and after a few days it is still smelling like something is burning, then i would go back to that shop. More than likely they spilled a little bit somewhere or possible the guy did not tighten the oil filter or oil plug.<-----I highly doubt it, but it did happen to my buddy.lol

Not to hijack but i have a similar deal going.

I bought the car used and suspect the last owner lied about the most recent oil change.

I had started to smell something that smelled like a burny oil or rubber smell, I could smell it inside the car. No smoke.

I changed the oil and they told me "hmm been a while since your last visit."

The smell has since subsided I would say.

So I would definately let the new oil settle in and see what happens.

If your thinking its a rubber smell check around your tires too. Occasionally something could get stuck or rubbed or whatever. Unlikely but possible.
