This past weekend I noticed that when I put my car into reverse it would shift really hard and do this god awful jumping thing. Almost like it would throw it forward then backwards.
I talked to a few car friends about it and none of them really know what to say. After driving the car on Saturday around town I threw a code. The code has nothing to do with my Transmission though, it's the same code I continue to randomly through, P0421. Later that night I had one of the car guys drive my car and they noticed that when they put it in reverse that both the reverse and drive light would be lit in my gauge cluster.
(IMG:http://i32.tinypic.com/ay90yd.jpg)
We made sure I had plenty of fluid and there is no slippage when changing gears. It only does this in reverse, you put it in nuetral and drive and it's fine.
Does anyone know what this may be?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Also it has 97K miles and it's an autostick! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i was upset with my dad because he was saying i wasn't gonna get my honda on the day he had told me for years and so mom went to meet a friend at the dealership on april 3rd and i saw the car but she didn't even let me look at becuase she knew i'd love it. on april 4th i went back because my dad was telling me i had to wait a few months before i got my honda but i needed my car ASAP cause i had just gotten a job. my birthday rolled around on April 5th and i was devastated that my dad lied to me about getting my car and so on April 6th 2007 my stratus was purchased for 10,000 even with 60k miles on it.
drove it off the lot and went to a baseball game, i didn't even notice all the faded paint (or w.e) and honestly didn't care i got what i wanted.
