Last night, some bastards broke into my car and stole my golf clubs, brief case, and day timer. All 3 things I never leave in my car except last night because my hands were full when I came home.
In my brief case was my check book, my passport, and a trust find statement for my 1 year old nephew.
I called the bank, the state department, credit bearau, etc...
Here's how they broke in. They shoved something in the passenger door lock and turned until it opened. Why did the alarm not go off?
The part I'm worried about is that my address was on the trust fund statement. My parents are funding that account and I'm the trustee. They can't withdrawl anything from that account. A single withdrawl for the next 17 years is difficult to impossible. But it may give them the false impression that I'm rich. If they believe that, they may try my home next.... I'm not worried if I'm home. I'm usually armed in my own home. I'm worried about when I'm not home.....

Start Your Engines - Chrysler Group to Offer Unique Owner Program
March 23, 2005 09:00:53 (ET)
NEW YORK, March 23, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Beginning in April, Chrysler Group will offer a unique opportunity for owners of Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep® SRT vehicles -- a day at the track.
A new program inviting owners of Street and Racing Technology (SRT) vehicles to race tracks throughout the country for professional driving instruction was announced today by the Chrysler Group.
The SRT Track Experience will provide day-long sessions of on-track driving and classroom instruction and help new owners experience the full capabilities of Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep SRT vehicles.
"SRT vehicle owners are performance enthusiasts," said Joe Eberhardt, Executive Vice President - Global Sales, Marketing and Service, Chrysler Group. "They want to know how to get the most out of their Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep SRT vehicles -- and we're going to help them. The SRT Track Experience gives them a chance to experience their vehicle in a safe environment with professional instructors, and give them the opportunity to drive the entire SRT lineup.
"Every SRT vehicle offers a standout powertrain, benchmark braking, world- class ride and handling and a race-inspired interior. The result is ultimate performance at a tremendous value," said Eberhardt.
More than 25 weekend events will be planned for 2005 at well-known race tracks throughout the country including Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Road America in Wisconsin, and Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. Owners of SRT vehicles will be able to schedule their track day through a 1-800 phone number or web site that will be developed for the program.
Customers who purchase an SRT vehicle after April 1, 2005 will receive the program. Owners of SRT vehicles ordered prior to April 1 may purchase the SRT Track Experience for $300.
In addition to classroom training, activities will include driving on low- and high-speed ovals, road courses, autocross setups, drag strips and skid pads. In some cases, the SRT Track Experience will include demonstrations of drifting or "hot laps" with a professional driver.
Chrysler Group to Expand SRT Availability
Chrysler Group also announced it will open up SRT certification to all of its dealers.
Approximately half of Chrysler Group's nearly 4,000 dealerships are currently SRT-certified. To attain SRT certification, dealerships are required to purchase special tools, complete SRT service training for their personnel, and stock service parts, performance upgrades and accessories -- as well as stock SRT vehicles.
The 2005 SRT lineup includes the Dodge Viper SRT10, Dodge SRT4, Dodge Ram SRT10 regular cab and Quad Cab, Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 Coupe and Roadster, and Chrysler 300C SRT8.
SRT continues to expand the launch of several all-new 2006 SRT vehicles, including the Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe, Dodge Magnum SRT8, Dodge Charger SRT8 and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

Ok, this didn't seem to fit any topic. So, move it where you think it fits.
I hit my washer fluid today and nothing happened. The pump ran, but nothing came out and the wipers blurred the already grimmy windshield.
Turns out the little Y connection that splits the line in two completely split in three directions. Now, none of the hoses are connected and hitting the washer fluid just causes it to come out the one hose on pour to the ground.
My question is, where can I find this tiny little Y connection? Do you think a hardware store would have it? Would they have it in metal so it doesn't split again? What size is it (it's night now and I can't see it too well)?

Chrysler Group Revs-Up All-New Line of Engines
December 16, 2004 11:00:00 (ET)
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec 16, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Chrysler Group engineering leads the development of key technologies that will give its customers high-value benefits in cost-efficient engines. These technologies will debut on the Chrysler Group version of the World Engine, co-developed by DaimlerChrysler, Hyundai Motor Company and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation for the Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance (GEMA).
"The Chrysler Group will deliver customer benefits with this series of engines, including significant refinements in sound quality, improvements in fuel efficiency, world-class horsepower and torque and reductions in noise, vibration and harshness," said Eric Ridenour, Executive Vice President Product Development, Chrysler Group. "Our engineers leveraged the cost savings of the GEMA program to give customers the valuable benefits they desire with these premium technologies."
Aggressive performance and fuel economy targets are achieved through advanced cylinder head port and intake manifold design -- Chrysler Group core competencies, and technologies not typically found in engines of this class. These technologies include dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and intake manifold design with flow control valves, both launching in the U.S. first in Chrysler Group versions of the World Engine.
Engines of three different displacements will be produced for the Chrysler Group: 1.8-liter, 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter. The horsepower and torque targets are among the best four-cylinder engines -- 170 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque for the 2.4-liter.
Fuel economy is a key factor in the four-cylinder market, and the Chrysler Group continues to find ways to offer better performance in this area. These engines are targeted to raise the efficiency by 5 percent over the engines they replace. These technologies also enable the engine to meet the ultra- clean ULEV II emissions standards.
"Just one example of giving customers benefits from high-value technology is Variable Valve Timing with continuously variable phasing on both the intake and exhaust valves," Ridenour said. "Dual VVT is currently only found on higher cost performance and luxury engines -- the Chrysler Group will be the first to offer it in the U.S. in entry-level vehicles, giving customers better fuel economy and performance."
Chrysler Group has a high standard for sound quality and minimal noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) in Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge vehicles. To meet these standards, even in entry-level vehicles, our engineers addressed NVH through several unique measures. An isolated valve cover and a dampened oil pan reduce sound at the top and bottom of the engine. A variety of select-fit parts minimize NVH. Engine idle smoothness is improved through dual VVT technology and the flow control valve intake manifold.
This series of engines marks several firsts for the Chrysler Group:
* Dual Variable Valve Timing
* Intake charge-motion flow control valves
* High-pressure, die-cast aluminum four-cylinder engine block
* Direct-acting mechanical bucket tappet valvetrain
"In addition to these unique attributes, these engines will deliver world- class quality and durability," Ridenour said. "These engines have benefited from the contributions and commitment of all three partners."
Hyundai led the development of the base engine, and the Chrysler Group has made significant engineering contributions to the engine design. Through the involvement of all three automakers, durability testing for World Engine includes 15 million customer-equivalent miles. Additionally, partners have shared best practices and lessons learned from past and current experiences, resulting in improved refinement, quality and durability.
This family of engines for the Chrysler Group will be manufactured at the GEMA plants in Dundee, Mich.

I went to change the battery in the car today. Sears gave me one that is an inch too wide. So, I'll have to return it and try again.
But, I couldn't tell it was too wide until after getting that little plastic cover off the old battery (that plastic cover makes the size of the old battery deceiving).
Well, when I started all of this, I must have engaged the alarm out of force of habit. I'm guessing I popped the hood, got out and locked the door. I then opened the hood, disconnected the old battery, opened the trunk with the key to get the new battery, realized it didn't fit, put the old battery back in, connected the positive, slammed my head into the hood when the horn/alarm went off as soon as the negative connector touched the battery again.
My guess, the alarm was still armed and was trigged by the open trunk.
Damn that scared the piss outta me.
