Well, I've been traveling a ton, so I don't get on here much, and money has been severely limited lately, but I figured I'd stop by and give an update on my setup.

We hit 146.2 on the termlab @44hz with a single 12" woofer, db drag legal.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, I've been fighting through some serious health problems, and haven't had the time or energy to get on the internet much lately, but I'm back so I figured I'd post a new video of the amount of flex I get from my single 12" woofer with 1500 watts running it.

Yes, I know my car is going to fall apart (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I have already had my windshield seal fixed twice over the last 6 months and it's leaking again.

It's amazing how much movement I can get out of a single subwoofer that has been metered at 142.7 db (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I knew I said I'd post pictures once I found my camera from moving, but I did one better and made a video for you guys.

One thing to notice is that it's blown out my windshield seal, which leaks now (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/Chair.gif) Tell me what you think.

Well, I finally got everything installed, and my plans changed dramatically the day before the install, because of some deals I ran into, and installer's abilities to get my car done in 2 days with a custom box (I would have done my own, but I was just in a bad accident and can't even lift my door panels off).

Well, here's what I ended up with:

Eclipse CD8445, If you want a great head unit, this is the one, 8V preouts made a world of difference over my old 2V Alpine. Add in all the features, and if you want to spend the money, I don't think you can beat it.

Memphis M-Class 6.5 seperates and 6x9's mounted in all the stock locations

Memphis 3004 running all the highs and mids, this amp really surprised me, it actually puts out quite a bit of power for only being rated at 75x4 @ 4 ohms.

I recycled my old JBL 1200.1 for the bass side, it still worked very well, and was all the power I thought I'd really need.

I took a risk on the subwoofer, and so far I'm not disappointed. I've never really liked MTX subs, or thought about putting them in my car, but with 1200 watts rms running to a single 12" subwoofer, I went with the MTX 9500 in a 4 cubic ft. enclosure ported to 35hz. So far I'm extremely happy with it, even though the gain on the 1200.1 is barely up.

Well, I've decided that it's time to get back into car audio after about a 12 year break. I went looking around today and pricing some stuff, and think I came up with a plan of attack. Here's the list of crap, just don't ask me part numbers right now (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) :

Eclipse DVD/Nav with internal harddrive
Sirius Radio
AudioControl EQS
JL 500.1
2 JL 300.2's
1 12" W7
2 sets of MB Quart 6.5" seperates
Power Cell Battery

What do you think?
