...my trunk lid release cable broke (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
I do have a key hole to open the trunk , but i really liked that release lever. This happened after I got to work, but does anyone happen to have a part number for it? A search didnt bring anything up, and even my beloved rockauto.com doesnt seem to have it. I havent had a chance to check out my FSM. Id like to have a part number to give to the dealership. Help a brother out! |

My local dealer wasnt able to get the part, said it had been discontinued and that he was able to search every dealer in the country and no one has it at all. A google search of the part number brought up www.parts.com and they had it. $30 after it was all said and done. I just hope they dont come back and say it is actually out of stock.

For some reason there was pretty heavy corrosion. I had the carpet out about 6 months ago to give it a good deep cleaning, and I know I put it back perfectly dry. Have you tried a Mitsu dealership? I know Dodge dealerships pretty much carry nothing for the Coupe anymore. Matter of fact, last time I went to one of the local dodge dealers for a part, they flat out told me to take it to a Mitsu dealer.

When one of my trunk torsion bars broke a few years ago the Mitsu dealer had it. The part number 68003208AA Daes gave me replaces part MR432852 which is a Mitsubishi part number i believe. |

For $25 I can get a universal electric push button opener through Summit.com. I may just go that route if i cant find the cable.
