I am sad to say, I am selling my XJ. It has been a faithful friend, but I no longer have the facilities to own/maintain two cars of my own. I am selling this and my car and purchasing a GC hopefully. Bottom, line, I'm looking for $2000 as it sits. I'll keep the info simple.

AW4, NP231, 8.25 with 3.55
142k miles, original powertrain
No oil leak, just got a new valve cover gasket and OFA ring set. RMS is good. Header is leaking a bit. Drive shaft could use a good lubing to kill the notorious "clunk". Engine burns little to no oil. Tranny has good fluid in it, did a slow, progressive series of drain and fills capped off by a run of Seafoam Trans Tune to help with a sticky solenoid. Rear axle is from a '98, the inner seals on the original were toast. Diff fluid was changed when the axle was installed. Cat converter is a year old, rest of exhaust is in good shape, no leaks except for the header. Sony CD/mp3 player with front aux input. Auto-Dimming rear-view mirror. Cargo Liner. New Oil Pressure Sensor and Heater Control Valve. NEVER lifted, off-roaded or abused. Clean Carfax if you run it, it was clean when I bought it. Clean MA title from previous owner (RI doesn't issue new titles for cars over 10 years old). 4WD is good, has driver's airbag. Floors are GOOD.

Needs: A/C compressor (what XJ doesn't), headliner, and possibly a windshield. There's a crack in it, it's legal, but the crack hasn't found another edge yet. It's in the lower right hand corner near the inspection sticker. The sticker is an RI one and good until November, 2011.

Looking for $2000 OBO. Located in North Providence RI.

It is with great regret that this car is for sale. I purchased it as a one owner, Chrysler Pre-Owned Certified. Absolutely babied for the 4 1/2 years I've owned it. ALL service records since April '06 when purchased, was dealer maintained by Brigham Gill Chrysler in Natick with its first owner. Dealer maintained with me by Lincoln Dodge and then Metro Chrysler. This is the Special Model, so it has Factory Navigation, Factory HID headlights, Factory Dual Exhaust and sport suspension. Heated leather seats, turn signal mirrors, Tire pressure management system, steering wheel audio controls, 18" Factory Special rims, and also comes with a full set of 16" alloys for the winter! The 18" wheels have never seen a winter. Factory spoiler, 360W Infinity sound system, Optima Red Top Battery installed in March of this year. Has Side Impact Airbags in the seats, Factory Alarm. New rear shocks, Transmission solenoid pack (replaced under warranty by a dealer, known issue on these cars, updated and upgraded part installed), Cam Position Sensor, Front Brakes 1 year old. Almost the entire new A/C system has been replaced, runs ice cold no matter how hot it is outside. This car has been my child. It was never driven in snow unless absolutely necessary ( I have a daily driver) and was well cared for. Carfax will be clean if you run it, it was clean when I bought it and I have never had it in an accident in my possession. Never smoked in. I know I will regret letting this car go, but I don't have the space or facilities to keep two cars anymore, so this and my daily driver are both going so I can go down to one vehicle. With only 68k miles, this car has a long life ahead of it. This car has all the options, an impeccable service history, great fuel mileage for a large 4 door sedan (up to 26 to 27 highway, even with the A/C on!). All it needs is a loving new owner.

This car has been great for me, and would love to see it go to a good home. Price is negotiable, and mods can be left in/removed to move the number up or down.

Selling or considering trades for 90's Cherokees or Grand Cherokees. I bought this as a daily driver to keep my Special off the road, and it has served me well. It's a 1990 with 128k, original motor and tranny, engine runs smooth as glass. 3.0 V6 with a 5 Speed Manual. Within the last 6 months I've replaced or fixed: New timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, alternator, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, oil, sway bar bushings, and windshield. I have had the ECU professionally re-built (huge issue with these trucks) with a lifetime warranty. It was done by the best company out there, not some hack in a junk yard. I've added a JVC detachable face CD player and auto-dimming rear-view mirror with built-in digital compass display. I've also addressed the frame of the truck. Several areas have been completely re-boxed, done by a professional welder, not Jethro in his back yard. After the frame was done it passed RI inspection with flying colors. Tires are still nice and meaty. 4WD engages and works well. This thing was a tank this winter in the snow, and they're auto-locking hubs, not manuals like most late 80's and early 90's pick-ups. I've put a lot of love and money (over $2k invested) into this truck but I really need to be able to carry passengers. Also has full bed liner. Now, the "needs". This truck needs two simple things: An O2 sensor, and U-Joints. The U joints started faulting about a week ago. If you know what you're doing, the parts are about $40 for the joints, and an O2 sensor about $60. I just don't have the time right now to get it to my mechanic in Cumberland, and have been using my car so as to not further the U-Joints. The CEL is on because of the O2 sensor (I can pull the codes from the computer at home) and that is the only code. Once again, quick, simple fix. I've worked out the bugs and had the headaches for this truck, whoever buys this and fixes these two things is gonna have a great daily driver with LOTS of life left in it. I purchased it from the original family who owned it, and the original owner was a service manager for a Mitsu dealership for years. Also included in the sale are the ORIGINAL dealership Factory Service Manuals from 1990 for the truck itself. Both the body/mechanical and the electrical ones. I'll also throw in the 250 lbs of sand and gravel bags I used to balance the weight in the snow. I'm in no rush to sell, so low-ballers don't waste your time, price is firm. If I get the U-Joints fixed before this sells, I'm raising the price. Sorry for the long post, but not many people can give this kind of detailed history on a vehicle.

The main reason for this post is because I'm looking to use Infinity speakers in my next set-up. I know they carry a pretty good line of stuff. I'm looking into getting the Kappa 60.7s and the 693.7i. Links are below. These are going into a '02 300M Special. Headunit is the Chrysler RB1 navigation unit. The Kappas will be powered by the Kicker ZX350.4, 90x4 RMS @ 2 ohms per channel. (The main draw of these infinity speakers is that they all run at 2 ohms per) Subs will be Boston Acoustics G5124 subs.
