My opinions on the subject are simple. The cost of diesel is sickening. With the rising cost of fuel, you would think that the shipping rates would go up right? Well in a way they are, but not near enough to offset the price of fuel. While everyone may think they are not directly impacted my the high price of diesel fuel, you are terribly mistaken. Everything in America, and the world for that matter, is shipped by a truck. First, the high price of diesel fuel rises the price of the products me and you enjoy day to day. If it takes more fuel to ship, the extra cost is passed right along to the consumer. The producers of the product are not going to absorb the extra cost, they are going to keep making the same profit as they always have. Next, if the price of diesel fuel goes down so does the price of gasoline. That would be good for everyone. Just a quick figure to think about, the price of fuel is now $110/barrel. Do you know how much it costs to produce a barrel of fuel? The last figure i heard was around $3. Now while the trucking nation as a whole is near extiction, the oil companies are announcing record breaking profits, even after millions are being spent on research and developement. That is just ridiculous. Join me on may 1st*mayday* and help boycott the high price of fuel. There will be millions of trucks participating, so help do your part. i looked and i didn't see anyone else that has had this problem so... since i got my strat it seems like the rear tires wear out twice as fast as the front tires... i rotate every 6k so that shouldn't be it... i just can't figure it out, and it's getting a lil old after about 2 years now... anyone know why it would be doing this, or what actions could be taken to prevent it... thx
