I also have the '01 R/T, but I have never had that problem. Has it always done it or has it just begun? If it is still under warrenty you can take it in and let them deal.

I made sure to treat the MAS with care, but who knows. I was thinking about it and thought about the o-ring (well it is not an o) rubber gasket that is on the MAS. I left it on when I connected the MAS to the AEM adaptor. Maybe that ring is not allowing it to seat well enough. Like I said first chance I get I am going to go thru it all again. IF the light goes out with the stock intake, but comes back on with the CAI then I will just try and live with light, I like the CAI waaaaay tooooo much (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I guess my real question is why would the light not come on after i reset the computer no matter how long i drive, but when I turn the car off and start it again the light comes back on? I think I will put the old intake back on, like cloud suggested, and trouble shoot the problem myself before i get auto zone or the dealer invalved.

OK, I decided to just go to auto zone first. I got the code P0135 Fed Spec -O2 Sensor heater malfunction (sensor 1)
I am going to put the stock intake back on, but I dont think that will get rid of the light. Could the CAI have caused this sensor to take a crap or what?

Yes the MAS air flow sensor is installed right, as far as I can tell the installation is perfect, everything is tight, no rubbing, no air leaks. So i do not know. I know that hte light is common after an install but it usually goes out after computer is reset, right?

I installed my new CAI saturday afternoon. Install went well, fast and easy. Of course the first thing i did when i was finished was drive it. I drove for about 20 min. giving it hell and enjoying the sound and added power. To my surprise I did not get the Service engine light. Sunday I am out driving and stop at Wal-Mart, still no light. When i come out and start the car again, what do you know the SES light. So i go home disconnect the batt. for a while, check the install, everything was good and tight, hook up the batt. and hell ya the light is off. But wait I turn the car off and start it again and my little friend is back. So I get on the boards and do a search for those with the same problem, and i have done all the things that were suggested to others. Every time the light is out on first start up after i reset the computer and stays out no matter how long or how much hell i give it, but as soon as i turn the car off and start it up again it comes right back on. (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) I plan to go to auto zone and see what they tell me. Anybody know anything that i may be missing?

The last name on the stratus list is William Burcham, not Burchim, but no big deal (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was out working the flightline (I am a Crew Chief on H-53's, they are helicopters for those who do not know) and all I could think about was the mods I am planning for my car, I get excited just thinking about it. Man, I am glad you guys are here.

I am sorry to hear that your husband has been activated, but remember he has a job to do and he has had the best training by the best people. It is hard to be apart from your loved ones and the guys are right surroned your self with friends and keep your mind off of the negative. I spent most of the past year away from my wife in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, so believe me when I say that what will make him do his job and get home safe is knowing that you are ther waiting for him.

American cars seem to always have low resale value.

I am waiting on my AEM CAI, I have seen that some people mod the fog light (or where the fog light goes) to get more air to the CAI. Is the mod worth the gain?

What's up? I'm new to the boards and just wanted to say I have been searching since Dec. 2000 for aftermarket parts for my R/T and finally this site has given me some hope.
