Well today i decided to borrow my wifes' camera and snap a few pics of the Tc finally at one of my favorite photo spots.
So far I have only done the "factory intake mod". At tax time this year I am going to get the windows tinted and add some TRD springs, Other than that I am not sure what else but none the less enjoy........

Great pics man! My GF wants to replace her Civic with one. She found a used 09 with 8k miles - no, thats not a typo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) - for 16k. Black Pearl paint, spoiler, LED tails, low profile spoiler; loaded inside. Tis a beauty. Quite roomy inside too.

trust me Pearl your GF would enjoy it alot. I love my Tc, dont get me wrong I loved the 2G but there is something abou the Tc that is fun about it! They are very roomy as well. Both of my kids fit in the back seat perfect. 16k for the car is pretty good for an 09' the mileage is funny. Mine is the 08 model and i just now broke 3k miles. But if you want wait till the 2010 model, because scion has extended the Tc past 09 and they said there is suppose to be a "big" change to it...so we will see....

Andre- I am telling you man the color grows on ya, there is definetly better colors out there but I have to say that this blue is very attactive to me on the Tc. So what are you thinking of getting? is it european?

No it is not, but it's small, cheap, and has no roof.

I don't wanna talk much about it so not to spoil things. Tomorrow will be the big day.

tC's are nice, but those taillights are hideous!!

Get some good aftermarket tails and you're all set.

I almost bought one... But I already had a Stratus and the tC is basically another "starter car," and I kinda felt like it'd be a down-grade.

A used 09 with 8K miles for 16K? Sounds like a rip-off - new they're only what, 17K?? Pony up a thousand bucks and get a new car.

Did TRD ever put out the super charger for those things? They kept talking about it...

Yep. The TRD supercharger was a 2 grand option, I think. Eric can still get one, under the warranty as well.

Seems like a jip for minimal power increase of a whole 40hp.

The TRD supercharger finally came out and it is a factory option that can be installed at anytime and still covered by warranty to the vehicle. Although the kit only yields like 40hp stock, they sell basic pulley kits for it to increase it up to 12lbs of boost. But to be honest a turbo is the way to go with the 2AZ-FE motor, it handles boost very well. There are numerous kits available. And the Tc is able to put down close to 300 with a good tune @only 5-6 PSI. It is crazy

I keep considering saving up for a dezod turbo kit, I would just have to get an upgraded clutch and LSD to go along with it.

The complete stage 1 kit is 4,300.00 and the stage 2 kit is 5,200.00 and that included everything including injectors and Plug-n-Play AEM standalone

But not the clutch or the LSD

So prices for boosting the TC are similar to the ones for boosting the R/T? Interesting.

It is exspensive in general to boost any car, just with the Tc you have more options available to do so.
-The R/T has the supercharger and a custom turbo kit. All still cost alot to drive with reliability.
-The Tc has the supercharger, turbo kits and twin-charging. All of them still cost alot to drive with reliability.

Unless you drive a civic all forced induction is expensive to add to a N/A motor safely.

Yep. I've been noticing that lately.

Even Miatas are around 10 grand to boost and make them reliable.

Thats the only down fall, it almost seems more pratical to by an already boosted car from the factory.

It really is. But those have their own shortcomings too.

Only affordable option is to custom piece what you need and do it yourself. Those kits are put together as a convenience and have a heavier price tag.

What TRD did with the optional supercharger - made by the manufacturer - that maintains warranty, has it's own warranty, and with the power it produces, is in fact pretty impressive.
