Wow man, its not your rotors or your brake pads. Take apart your center console, it should snap off. You have to tighten your e-brake thats why it feels like it's not grabbing it all the way. How high can you pull up your e-brake? If its more then three inches you definetly need to adjust it, it shouldnt be lose at all and while its down it shouldnt be able to move, it should take effort to lift up. I dont even need to lift mine more then an inch and a half, two inches tops on a hill. Its a thing that always happens eventually from pulling it so much so just adjust it and you'll be fine. All it is is a nut, grab some pliers or Im pretty sure its a 10 or 12mm nut and tighten it.

ok see...i never really payed attention to it but i have pulled it before when i got my strat. I would go to and empty lot and play around with it and it would work just fine but....since i got the new rear rotors/drums i can lift it ALL the way up and it grabs a little but not enough...

And, thinking about it now, that is extremely dangerous and you shouldn't pull your e-brake during a panic situation. NEVER. For as good a driver as you think you are, you cannot control the slide that will be produced and you cannot stop the car as well as your ABS brakes can by pulling your e-brake. That was a risky and unnecessary stunt.

The pads that i put on the car are these new brake pads by ebc and they said that if u slam the breaks before getting this red coating thats on there off then they will crack and that they dont refund or return them because they send you a little thing you hang up on ur windshield...so i was thinking about slamming the brakes but i was like shit im out of 130 bucks if i do. so idk. Plus how fast he flew past me if the e-brake would have engaged i would've went into the crosswalk by this gas station that was next to me. I was in the far right lane, but i woulda went wayyy to the left i think. i just put new tires on my car. Michelin pilot sport PS2. those are tires that are on the viper. They grip really great, advice..buy them. Anyways but he swerved a little before we almost hit. So idk I've seen people with cars before they almost get hit they try to drift around them its looks cool but they better make sure theres no oncoming traffic. PLus our streets out here are 3-4 lanes wide on both sides so theres like a ton of room to turn sharply and avoid an accident. Unlike st.louis only has 1-3 lanes on both sides. But idk

It can't be related to your rotors. Check if all your brake connections are assembled correctly in the rear. Have you done the brake job by yourself?

I'm glad you're alright though, but I'm almost 100% that this is not related to the rotors, since it's not the pads or the rotors that make the e-brake run, but a separate assembly underneath the rotors.

Yeah thats wat im talking about though because the drums are what the e-brake engages. After that whole incident i went out and reversed and yanked the e-brake to see if they needed to adjust and nothing. They feel like they try to grab but the its like the drum is to far away from the brake shoes to reach. They grab but not really alot. They squeak kinda loud when u pull it when ur going at about 15-20, and from a stand still they dont hold u if u try to heat up your tires. they just turn like normal with like a little resistance....this sucks so bad.

That sucks dude. Did your e-brake ever work before? As in did you ever test it? Maybe when you replaced it, you didn't adjust the e-brake cable?

yeah they have before until i got them. no i didint check them me bein an idiot and so happy i got them on there. I should have.

I got the R1 concepts x-drilled and slotted rotors a while back..about 2months ago, and yesterday i was catching this light right when it turned green doing maybe 13-15mph and this dam honda flies through the intersection on a red light and i grab my ebrake to whip around a u-turn and no e-brake. At that point my heart jumped out my chest and i passed out. I woke up about 15mins later next to a fence. My car in the middle of the damn intersection with a firetruck..ambulance and police. Some guy in another stratus and his wife were trying to wake me up. police come and ask me what happened i told him about the guy in the honda and he pulls his srt8 charger around with the guy in the back seat. I tried to kill that little shit of a ricer. Green honda...purple neons..fart can...bleachers on the trunk....carbonfiber hood and trunk. He goes to jail for no liscense, no insurance, running a redlight, running from the police, and wreckless driving. I get a ticket for not having a working e-brake. I tell him my foot brake works normal and he says but ur handbrake doesnt work and its law in the city of phoenix to have all braking systems working in orderly fashion. They took me and my car home, parked it, and said i couldnt drive it. So to make it short...WTF R1?!?!? U SENDING ME THE WRONG SH*T!?!?!?! U guys think i can send em back lol???? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) go ahead talk all the crap you need lol.

al stratus R/Ts come with camber out of specs. you gotta buy a camber kit and get iut put on in the rear. trust me i had my toe bad and new tires were done in like a month. Camber is always out of specs on the real but not by far....but it still causes tire wear.

Oh no the rubber ripped out and i thought the rubber and the metal were stuck together? wouldnt you have to get a totally brand new mount or do you just buy the inserts and put them in and put the mounts back in the car?
