This is hands down going to be the baddest ass MFing 3.5L built to date. 3.6L of displacement, forged rods, pistons, O rung block, ported and polished heads, RPW stage 2 turbo camshafts...

And one BIG ASS turbo.

Props to Charles for stepping it up. Many people talk a good game but don't put their money where their mouth is. Charles hasn't talked shit and straight up put his money on the line to build one BAD ASS car. Now it's up to me to deliver. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

UnF!

I'm going to edit out the boring parts of the 2 hours of video either later today or this weekend and then post that too.

You really don't want to know how much he spent on this build.

I'm not lying when I say it approaches 5 digits just for the engine.

Think about it:

Built 3.5L = $2,800
Forged rods + $1000
PnP heads = $1,800
RPW cams + gears USED = $850
O ringing of block = $600
Gasket sets, MLS head gaskets, Oil + Water pumps, timing components etc +$,1500+

And I know I'm missing something in that equation...

His total bill is north of $23k, but that includes tubular exhaust manifolds, turbo kit w/ one big ass turbo, EMS stand alone conversion, A2W intercooler setup, etc. etc.

He's doing it right. It costs to play w/ this platform, especially if I'm the only guy doing it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yeah, but the way i look at it, he wont get that kind of performance in a car that looks this sexy...for the price. And you built it, so i know its built to a high standard (and calm down, dont get a hard-on, im not stroking your ego lol).

Im not surprised about the price really. Like you said, it costs money to play. He will have one bad mother fucking car envied by us all...

I couldn't agree with you more about the looks of this car. I own 10 cars and my silver beast is still by far my favorite looks wise. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to buy ANY car that I think looks better than the Strat. Of course, that is after I complete the aesthetics upgrade for the car I have in mind. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Something else to note is the prices I gave above do not include labor for engine assembly.

How many people do you know that are confident enough in their work that they actually FILM and record assemblying a customer's engine for them? hehe

Don't worry Outtafokus, my ego needs no stroking. It's big enough as it is! haha (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yeah, its amazing how sexy and sleek...and dare i say modern (to a degree) our cars still look, almost a decade later. Its gonna be hard to let the strat go if it ends up getting totalled...but i think im ready to move on to another more capable, more fun platform.

Whats Charles SN here? Is it a strat or bring? 2G or 2.5G?

He's not on here. He has a 3G. Other than Adam, Strat owners are cheap bastards! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Again, I couldn't agree more about the looks of this platform.

Just wait til my strat is 3.8L MIVEC AWD Turbo. That will be one amazing machine. I already have the title for the magazine spread. The Evolution of a Stratus. I find it highly fitting. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

haha, Ive noticed that. Seeing modded 3Gs over on C3G is the norm, turbos...not so rare. Here...heh, totally different ballgame.

I was actually starting to look into the 74s and getting pricing and shit i needed to do the conversion...then the accident. So that'll prob never happen now.

EMS is back, but as evidenced by the pictures, I've been busy on other projects. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
