has anyone ever installed the weapon r cold air intake on there 3.0 if so how were the power gains.. i emailed the company and they said they dont make one for the startus but i told him that we have the same v6 as the eclipse.so waiting on a response back

Ill be nice and say... you will see no performance gains whether you have a name brand intake or ebay special.

Ayyup!
Beyond that if you really want one, the cheap kits are ok, just make sure you have a metal MAF flange/adapter plate and a DRY FLOW filter. No oiled filters. I highly recommend getting a Hydro-shield as well.

They sound good when the engine is under load but that's about it for the gains...

i see on ebay that when i do a search for stratus not very many results come up for intake choices..but if i type eclipse theres thousands ......i can use one for an eclipse correct with a 3.0 or does it matter on engine size

Yep, same thing. 3.0L Eclipse has the EXACT same motor as we do. (GTS is slightly different, same block, better intake manifold, higher comp, weaker pistons)

If you are interested in an AEM CAI with extras I'm removing mine this week and will be posting it. AEM CAI(polished aluminum) with Hydro-Shield cover and a never installed bypass valve(anti-hydro-lock). I'm probly going to post it for $100 depending on shipping.
