Hello all,

It's time for me to buy the third set of tires for my 01 R/T. The OE Goodyears (Eagle RS-A 215/50-17)gave me 50k. Money was tight and I got a good deal on a set of Coopers that have given me 30k. Looking at going back with the OE now but wanted to get some feedback from the list. Wanting a tire with good tread life and good handling at a decent price. Right now that's the Goodyears, although I haven't found a deal on them yet.

Of course the Dealer is trying to screw me! Stupid question. (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Took my Strat to the dealer today. Noise from the rear passenger wheel when I hit bumps. Plus, sharp left turns causes the the tail to sway.

Dealer Rep tells me i have a broken rear knuckle (aka rear steering knuckle). They say it is not covered under the extended warranty, which I believe to be BS and will have to check my paper work when I get home tonight. They wanna charge me $395 plus an alignment. The part will take 3 days to get (because it is in Milwaukee instead of Detroit) and they can't order until tomorrow (as today is a Holiday) and I wouldn't get the car back until next Monday. I told them to f off and put it back together! lol

Wanted to get the boards advice as well as check the extended warranty and a local mechanic I know.

Funny thing the Dealer Rep said that really makes no sense to me. If I didn't have 48k miles on the car then it would be covered under the standard 3yr/36k warranty. But it's not covered under the 5yr/60k extended warranty. Does this not seem wrong or am I just crazy? (IMG:http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

thx in advance guys and gals
